Demo:

Liner Notes:

The voice is slowly returning and want to get into a souly, jazzy phase, before going to a stripped down accoustic one.. Not there yet but its getting there. Lost a lot og oos and ahs from the lyrics when singing

Lyrics:

I wish i knew i wish knew why why
I wish i wish that iiii could try
To be a better a better man thats why
A better man for you

Still feel a lttle outta place Running in this race oo oo
Nothing quite seems to fit. Yeah
Square peg in a round

Come from the wrong side of town oww n
History lets me down oo
Failed some many times before. Yeah
But maybe this is the time

I wish i knew i wish knew why why
I wish i wish that iiii could tryyyyyyy
To be a better a better man thats why
A better man for you

Still feel a lttle outta place oo oo
Running in this race oo oo
Nothing quite seems to fit. Yeah eh
Square peg hole. Yeah der der dum

Come from the wrong side of town oww n
History lets me down oo
Failed some many times before. Yeah
But maybe this is the time

instrument

I wish i knew i wish knew why why
I wish i wish that iiii could tryyyyyyy
To be a better a better man thats why
A better man for you oo oo oo oo der der der dum

Come from the wrong side of town oww n
History lets me down oo
Failed some many times before. Yeah
But maybe this is the time

Man that is smooth soul, it's jazzy and easy listening and danceable. Ladies will be queuing at your stage door, man.
You dont do this sorta romantic stuff and be left alone by romance crazed women. I feel for ya.

i found that whn you lose part of your voice, what remains is better than ever. so keep developing those lower registers and lave the oohs and ahs to the ladies. nice groove going on here, and a story we all can relate to. the only reason i have left behind my evils ways is because y wife deserves a better man than who i used to be.

Excellent blusey sound. Love the lyrics too "square peg round hole" Great all around!

You're almost there already! Way to go! This is very smooth and relaxing. I can kind of relate to the out of place sentiment in this too.

VERY nice. I've been wanting to do some R&B soul Motown stuff this time around, but I haven't really done any yet. You've set the bar high!

Better man for you is a great line. I like the guitar bits, they sound funkish to me and fit in nicely with the smooth jazzish sound. Glad you're getting your voice back.

This is great! Beautiful smooth sound that reminds me of Steely Dan & Boz Scaggs musically, and lyrically in fact with Boz as well.

The whole thing has a fabulous feel throughout, with beautiful changes, and that electric piano is delicious! I love the vocalnon here too! Lovely.

Soulful cool.
