Demo:

Liner Notes:

Met a few of these people in the last few years. they are a real mic just like other societal groups. some are happy with their lot , some philosophical and some bitter

Lyrics:

Ive been a drifter these 20 years
Moving on hides all my fears
And when this town starts to smother
Just move on and find another.

Keep it light no deep connections
No-one inside my deep affections
Sorry mam just passing through
Im Not the right sort of man for you

Well I’m sure It aint no secret
And you Wont see it on any leaflet
And I wont tell you no lies
Coz i know for sure its love that ties

I nstumental

Keep it light no deep connections
No-one inside my deep affections
Sorry mam just passing through
Im Not the right sort of man for you

Well I’m sure It aint no secret
And you Wont see it on any leaflet
And I wont tell you no lies
Coz i know for sure

There been many women in my time
Was pretty easy in my prime
Many of them were oh so dear
But i quickly moved on when they got near

I just aint the type for settling down
Cant stay forever in one town
So cant take the risk of getting to near
I crooked path i need to steer

Well I’m sure It aint no secret
And you Wont see it on any leaflet
And I wont tell you no lies
Coz i know for sure its love that ties

i like the melody/changes on the chorus. nice concept, bittersweet, i like how there seems to be a backstory of why he's a drifter in the i know for sure its love that ties
line.

a lovely song, a tale simply and honestly delivered, but the quality of the writing makes it a mini epic.

Nice song. I like the 3/4 feel and the sweetness of the melody. I like the vocal - there are some really nice low tones in there, and then some more fragile sounding notes which feel like they fit the character.

This flows beautifully with the waltz feels and really paints a vivid picture of this character that is avoiding close relationships. Beautifully done!
