Liner Notes:

Rock the roof off skirmish! I'm on lunch break so I can only post lyrics for now, but still, its my first skirmish so i'm excited....lets see..something about two people not finding common ground. Maybe yelling on separate rooftops trying to make sense of each other. This will be rhyme heavy, because yes.

Lyrics:

(Verse)
Sitting on the rooftop, I can't let go
Of all the stupid things that I think I know
Swearing up a storm when I lose the flow
Of all the little words that I need to throw

Screaming from the rooftops "Let me grow"
You're shouting from the other side "No no no"
Can't this die with kindness, not overload?
Leaving us in blindness, in the snow

(Chorus)
You think I'm only 25, but I'm an 88 key piano
I want to play all the notes for the people below
With the shades and colors that are in my code
You wasted up my palette drawing monochromes

(Verse)
Scraping up the ashes, even now
Blurring all my lines, falcons on the prowl
Musing me with every little single doubt
Ending up a raw stump, can you hear me now?

Rocking from the rooftops, back and forth
Swaying from the treetops, around the board
Leaving you the sawdust, on the ground
There is a new wholeness, to be found

(Bridge/Outro)
Blowing off the rooftop with a grin
I'll find me a good one, in the end
Can't believe what's waiting around the bend
I'm writing a new story, swinging for the fences

I like a lot of what you've done in this lyric--- particularly 'I'm an 88 key piano' and the 'screaming from the rooftops' image. I can totally picture that. Nice job on the quick write, give me a shout if you post a demo!

Good expression of your sentiment. Very to the point. This feels like it would sing well as a hard rock song.
My favorite lines:
"Rocking from the rooftops, back and forth
Swaying from the treetops, around the board
Leaving you the sawdust, on the ground
There is a new wholeness, to be found"
Rock on Dude.
