Liner Notes:

Away so no music. I rather liked a few verses here

EDIT: I asked John if he wanted to write me some lyrics and he had these to hand already. Some great lines here so was easy to work with!

Lyrics:

Living for today

I rush out through my front door
Gotta catch my bus
I remember past times
When it seemed such fun to us

Life was oh so simple then
Its much more complicated now
But i think I’ve worked it out
The why and then the how

Living for fun
living for today
Make each minute count
Before it goes away

A wise man told me once
As he looked me in the eye
You dont need a good memory
If you never ever lie

He told me lies will lock you away
Youll never ever be free
Only truth will loose the chains
It is the only key

Living for fun
living for today
Make each minute count
Before it goes away

instrum

Live you life openly
Let everyone take a look
Hope that people say
His lifes an open book

Living for fun
living for today
Make each minute count
Before it goes away

Very interesting lyrics, tells the feelings about the life so well. Hope to hear your demo when you are back from travelling.

Honesty is just easier, for sure. Your song is about more than that, but that idea jumped out at me. It's interesting to blend the concept of living for fun and having a life like an open book. I tend to think of "living for fun" to be kind of decadent, but it doesn't have to be.

I very much enjoyed the listen. Truth is definitely a liberator. Great work from two artists I very much admire. Peace!
