Liner Notes:

I Want Something Priceless
Great prompt. So many ways to go.

Just knockin' off the rust in this one. Thanks to Pawn Stars for the first lines and Pee Wee Reese for his classic.

Guitars: Guild D-25
Note: Skirmish: 1 hour to write and record

I Want Something Priceless

They say life is like a pawn shop
Everything's got a story
And everything's got a price
Gonna pay if you're lookin' for
The fame and glory
Finish last if you're the guy that's nice

Sometime you got to look around
Ask yourself what has worth
So much precious to be found
Lookin' to find it
In my time on earth

I want somethin' that's priceless
Gimme little taste of peace
It's priceless
Feelin' all the stress release
Like rollin' in you're baby's arms
Watchin' fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Priceless, but rich in value
All I want before I die.
Is somethin' priceless.

I heard life is a gamble
Roll the bones and pray
Hopin' they will come up right
If they do or if they don't
Comes another day
Be thankful you made it through the night.

Love the bluesy guitar groove. Nice reflections on being thankful for each day and seeing what is truly priceless! Also, it's *great* to hear you back in the 50/90 groove, good sir! Cheers!

excellent guitar rhythmic strumming and singing. That D-25 is a good sounding guitar. Good words for a skirmish, too -- well done. Enjoyed my listen (nice chords in there).

Ooh I love the recording..so clean. Relatable lyrics too - I like that you got the 4th of July in there. The guitar sound is ear candy!! Great skirmish and good to see you back here.

Great skirmish. A really complete and interesting song. Very nice.

An enjoyable listen. Beautiful flow and energy, great development of a lyrical theme, and I agree about the opening lines - very quotable!

You have a really effortless and natural way of expressing it musically - I can hear a little bit of George Michael, Elton John and something else - I feel the words but didn't paid much attention to them - maybe it's a good thing here - good structure and development.

Heard this on the Jukebox. Made sit up and listen twice. Great playing and vocals.
