Liner Notes:

T.C. surprised me with gorgeous music for the lyrics I had written. His music captures the sentiment I was trying to convey beautifully. So grateful!

Lyrics:

V1
though the room is full of women
my eyes see the empty chair
sometime in my perfect world
I would love to find you there

but you don't need to say I'm sorry
give praise with false pretense
seek truth within past mistakes
or share heartfelt amends

C
as there is one truth
one truth that will not end
always means always
always
between friends

always, always
my friend

V2
though the halls are full of women
who tempt my muse as we talk
somewhere in my perfect world
there'd be open paths to walk

I don't want what can never be
or illicit passionate affairs
but long for true connections
that weather change through years

C
and there is one truth
one truth that will not end
always means always
always
between friends

always, always
my friend

B
sometimes
always means
never letting go..
but sometimes
always means
finding new ways to grow

C
and there is one truth
one truth that will not end
always means always
always
between friends

always, always
your friend

This is a really lovely sentiment. Very well written lyrics! Love that chorus!

Good lyric, well written. I immediately had an idea, although it isn't an indie vibe. Sending you an email.

Not the sort of style I'd normally listen to, but I really liked it! There's just something there in the powerful yet simple guitar line, and how it buoys the heartfelt vocals. Sad lyrics, but the vocals take that and find something constructive (as the lyrics hint at, mind you). Or at least, that's how it sounds to me. Smile

Also, I must say, it takes real skill to write lyrics that so easily translate to music. Well done, both of you. Smile

Wonderful performance encasing these words written with such heartfelt sadness and gentle grace. Awesome collaboration!

There's a clear light of hope running through this sad song - resilient and stoic. Nicely done, both.
