Heather at account services

Liner Notes:

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets annoying phone calls from a bot called 'Heather from account services"

Had been meaning to write a song with that title for a while, and after I tuned up the 12-string guitar, this kind of suggested itself quick.

just a little fun one on what feels like a heavy week that needs some comic relief

Lyrics:

I had a friend at account services, her name was Heather
She made a lot of phone calls, trying to keep it together
She called day and night, in any kind of weather
I had a friend at account services, her name was Heather

I had a friend who used to be a Nigerian prince
He tried to give away all his money, he’s been a mess ever since
He could walk on a sandy beach and not leave any footprints
I had a friend who used to be a Nigerian prince

I had a friend who invented a perpetual motion machine
Had a car that did not need any gasoline
Then again it could have just been the amphetamines
Had a friend who invented a perpetual motion machine

I had a friend named Heather, should have heard her sing
She could play guitar and loved to play a 12 string
But the sound she loved most was hearing a telephone ring
I had a friend named Heather, should have heard her sing

A song about the outgrowth of modern communication. Time to remember this unsung heroes Smile

Love hearing the very modern lyrics with the charming, jangling 12-string sound. I had a phone call from a bot the other day that just said GOODBYE and hung up on me. Very odd. Almost feels like they're learning from what I usually do to them.

Now we should be worried!

Oh, I know Heather. I'm hoping to get her real number one day. Great sound, I like that 12-string. Fun tune, Nigerians and amphetamines.

Maybe it should have an outro with a crappy phone recording of Heather playing.

Super guitar playing to go along with really clever and funny lyrics. Especially the line about the amphetamines.
