*EDIT: I was playing a bit with this one and have since first upload, seeking to see how it might sound singing with a friend, --overdubbed, "that", well, with me not him Smile It adds a dimension not there otherwise... (well, of course Smile ) ... still a one-take-wonder...! Also, I switched out a few words that for "me", may make more "sense", if that's possible Smile

Well, the prior song started to change, morph so much, left it alone and got another...

Just to be clear... I'm really not a "christian" writer... and if this was 1930-ish... surely, no one would consider "this" a "church" song... but, anyway... -- possibly today, it may be. Just say'in... Fool

This too, was literally recorded as writing it, so does need a smoother, more practice rendition... oh well! They never do come out "practiced" do they Fool

So, derUgo...

Nice! It sort of reminds me of some of Ben Harper's music that seems like gospel but doesn't necessarily belong in church. Well... not the churches I'm familiar with anyway. I like the variety of harmonic rhythm in the guitar, and how it matches the changes in the melody... great phrasing. I can't help but imagine various arrangements... Enjoyed my listen, thanks!!

Oh, thank you for that, very much. I really appreciate it. Yes, that harmonic rhythm, "sub" melody (how I think of it)... well, I'm glad folks like it, since it's the feel of it that makes me want to pick up an instrument. I'd play it anyway... but, always better to be "enjoyed"! Always... thank you again.

Hey nutation! Nice to hear another song of yours. I like the flavour of the vocals on this one, the breathy almost non-committal approach makes light of the potentially heavy lyrical content in a way that makes it easy listening. For me not so much Ben Harper more Red Hot Chili Peppers

nicely done! love the minor-key feel of this, and as juxtaposed with the gospel-themed words, its an effective and tuneful creation ....
