Liner Notes:

Colleen: So, when Cindy offered to let me set these lyrics to my styling, I was honored! I chose to keep the strumming spare, using broken chords to accent the fragility of life in her lyrics. These lyrics really spoke to me personally as these past couple of weeks have made me face the fragility of the human condition. We don't have time to waste on hate and intolerance. We are all insignificant in the grand scheme of the universe, yet working together we can make a huge difference.

We are dust
Even as we take our first breath
The cup is broken
Even as we sip our tea

We are fragile
We are mighty
We cower
Yet we roar

We hold tightly
Even as the strands disappear
We stand firmly
Even as the earth quakes

We are heavy
We are flying
We fall
Yet find our way

We are dust
Even as we take our first breath
The cup is broken
Even as we sip our tea

Your vocals are so moving, beautiful work. The light touch on the backing and voice really carries the idea of fragility.

Oh wow! I have goosebumps all over! It is perfect-your vocals are outstanding and the melody....thanks so much!

Well done, in all aspects of consideration. Great work!

You made me look up "broken chord" ... I had no idea what they were (even though I use them all the time). The BCs sound lovely here ... I prefer them to straight-ahead strumming. Very beautiful performance of some thought-provoking lyrics. "The cup is broken/Even as we sip our tea" is one of the best things I've come across this 50/90.

Very good collaboration, the music the singing and the words all fit so well together.
