Tears With The Moon

Liner Notes:

Came across the photo/picture and wrote the lyric to it, I love to be inspired for a story idea from a picture.

I wanted to do a more laid back song.

Playing my Guilele and Guitar in this, it is a little rough, but I did it quickly, but the idea is there.

Tears With the Moon

Lightening shot arrows to pierce the night
and the clouds hung heavy in the sky
they couldn't hold back and down it came
the anger, the cold and the stinging rain

In the green meadow, the tempest raged
while a lover's passion began to fade
they held on 'til her heart finally broke
and she floated away like wisps of smoke

the clouds are spent the stars appear in the calm after the monsoon
the lover arrives with a storm inside and she shares her tears with the moon

she straightens her dress in the shining sun
and he smiles and says she's the prettiest one
but the days turn to shadows and begin to dim
and she's floating away in the storm once again

the clouds are spent the stars appear in the calm after the monsoon
the lover arrives with a storm inside and she shares her tears with the moon

How great is it that this photo inspired you to write this? I am in total all girl. I love these lyrics and your performance is perfect. Spellbinding!

Has a mystical air about it ... vocals and guilele are lovely ... nice storytelling, as well. I like the way it picks up tempo at the chorus and then falls back to the quieter verses. Such a pleasure to listen to! The extended ending is a nice touch as well. Enjoyed!

This is quite enjoyable, in a haunting way. I briefly though I was hearing a Wilson sisters/Heart vibe. Poetry made large with your voice.

your lyrics and voice make this simple melody soar with the passion of inner vision.
