Claudius wrath

Liner Notes:

For the serie of classical legends. Here is Hamlet and Claudius in what I think of as a walz

Lyrics:

Lost in a world, hope turns into despair,
In the gloom of a worldly prison
Calls out to Hamlet as if he would care:
C: "To England you go for this traitorous mission!
Where is the body? Did you leave it to bleed?
How should I deal with this disgraceful deed?”
"

Chorus: Hamlet oh Lord. What have you done?
Kings wrath could fear the furious sun

H: “I’ve gotten it dirty, away from the sun
I promise you sponges the body is gone
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
The body is hidden, truth will adjust.”

Chorus: Hamlet oh Lord. What have you done?
Kings wrath could fear the furious sun

C: “Find it you sponges, find it by the stairs
My shame already cleave this dusty air,
Away pack your bags, to London you go.
Don’t tell me where I don’t want to know”
Chorus: Hamlet oh Lord. What have you done?
Kings wrath could fear the furious sun

Bridge
The prince walks away can’t hold his breath
In England they’ve already order his death
Chorus outro:
Hamlet oh Lord.
Walk away
you will not see
another day.

Wonderful take on a classic! Your lyrics are wonderful and capture the essence well. It should work as a waltz perfectly given the cadence.

Last year my best song was a Hamlet rap. I actually just finished a little work on getting the music video under way. I love songs about Shakespeare! I like that you structured this as a conversation and how it focuses on one moment in the play. I also like how you refer to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern as sponges. Poor guys never knew what hit them. Fantastic!
