Third song!

I came up with this riff very early on in the challenge, but didn't know what to do with it, until I came across some lyrics by Kahlo2013, and bang, heres my first collaboration!

A very, very frenetic pace, I was trying to go with an Offspring mixed with skate punk sound. I am very happy with how the middle part comes together, its very fun to play, and how the guitars all work. I'm not confident on my singing though. Sounds somewhere between Placebo channeling Dio in the chorus??

Anyway, hope you dig this 3 minute ditty.

(lyrics by Kahlo2013)

Lyrics:

Another crack in the wall,
another jack with no ball.
Another day - to get through.

Another rip in the sail,
another slip off the rail.
Another day - without you.

(Repeat)

Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at another crack in the wall.

Another tear in my eye,
another prayer and soft cry.
Another day - to get through.

Another ache in my heart,
another place far apart.
Another day - without you.

(Repeat)

Another day, another day, another day, another day. Wasted.

Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at another crack in the wall.

When foundations shift - problems grow.
Walls crack, they break, crumble and decay.
But cracks in our heart, they never, never go away.
Cracks in our heart, never go, never go away.

Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at a crack, at a crack - in the wall.
Staring at another crack in the wall.

Enjoyed this. You've got a good voice for this genre. Nice work on the guitars. Great lyrics!

Digging the energy that comes with this, especially in the chorus when the guitar does its thing during 'Staring at a crack, at a crack', that was a yeah!! moment for me. Cool.

A rocking explosion of a song, and not a feel I usually associate with Liz's lyrics, but it works wonderfully, with the passion and energy of the performance finding the angry edge to the despair reflected in the lyrics.

Great energy and rawness to this track. Its reminds me a bit of The Scientists a band from Australia which is awesome. Good lyrics which are delivered very nicely. Loving the solo bit near the end. Raw energy.

Very cool track! I have worked with her before. You guys pair up nicely. Actually, I think your singing fits this vibe just right. Great work!

Fast tune, the guitars are great very solid rhythm and the chorus pick-up is rad. Your performance works very well for the lyrics, it's the right kind of feel. Well done.

Energetic tune, I think you're singing works quite fine in this style, and the music fits very good with the lyrics.

Cool sound, love the guitar riff in the intro. The lyrics really work with this hyper-tempo, the repetition and short lines are perfect here. Good chorus, and I like the backing vocals. Good use of breaks between sections. Nice building bit around 2:30.

So that's all kind of analytical, but what I meant to say this is a great sounding catchy tune.
