Liner Notes:

I tried to capture the feel and energy of late 50s/ early 60s rock'n'roll and male vocal groups like Dion and the Belmonts, but with synths and tongue in cheek. Sounds a bit glam. Smile

Thank yous go to @cindyrella!

Lyrics:

Oh oh oh oh, sweet thing
She's the girl - the girl of my dreams
Oh oh oh oh, sweet thing
She's the girl - the girl of my dreams

How can I describe that baby of mine?
( Yeah, yeah, oh yeah! )
How am I gonna explain she's real fine?
( Yeah, yeah, oh yeah!)
How can I tell you she's more than divine?
(Yeah, yeah, oh yeah!)

Oh oh oh oh, sweet thing
She's the girl - the girl of my dreams
Oh oh oh oh, sweet thing
She's the girl - the girl of my dreams

She's the best
and I'd never guess
that she'd stay with me

But she saw something
in us as a pair
And man...oh man...oh man
I ain't goin' anywhere

Oh oh oh oh, sweet thing
She's the girl - the girl of my dreams
Oh oh oh oh sweet thing
She's the girl, - the girl of my dreams

Now maybe you can understand
( Yeah, yeah, oh yeah! )
Just how much I wanna stay her man
( Yeah, yeah, oh yeah! )
Gonna love that woman as long as I can
( Yeah, yeah, oh yeah! )

Oh oh oh oh, sweet thing
She's the girl - the girl of my dreams
Oh oh oh oh, sweet thing
She's the girl - the girl of my dreams

Very fun to listen to. I really enjoyed the upbeat tempo and the harmonies really help capture that era of music. Kind of a futuristic version of retro music....

Yes! You definitely got the vibe of the 50s rock'n'roll but in a wonderfully 80s way.

This sounds like it was really fun to record. That fat retro synth sounds great, and the Beach Boys-like vocals add to the party. Great mix of 80s and 60s, and catchy as heck! Cindy, I like the structure of the lyrics, with the call and response and the yeah, yeah, yeahs! Just emanates joy and happiness!

There's definitely a touch of 70s glam about this in its use of rock'n'roll and some of the instrumental touches, but making it synth driven puts it into the 80s. The result is something quite unique. Some great production flourishes here as well.
