Live, in-person collab with kahlo2013!

Lyrics:

Walking down aisle three
Turning pages into history
Mantel clocks and chandeliers
Chicago Expo souvenirs
Duck decoys and accordions
Hand-carved wooden bongo drums
Fishing lures and yellowed lace
Cast-iron pans and china plates

Wonder who has held this before
Wonder who’s treasured this before
Wonder (wonder)
Was it hard to let this go?

Walking by worn tapestries
A dusty books calls to me
It takes me back to long ago
A special place I used to know
I remember sitting on grandpa’s knee
Him reading Robert Frost to me
The pages smell of dust and pine
I feel his touch, gentle and kind

Wonder who has held this before
Wonder who’s treasured this before
Wonder (wonder)
Was it hard to let this go?

I bought the book and took it home
Cherishing memories I now own
I brought it out the other day
When my grandson came to play
I pulled him close up on my lap
And read to him before his nap
He laid his head upon my breast
Thought to myself, I am blessed

Some day when we’re gone
Someone may come along

Wonder who has held this before
Wonder who’s treasured this before
Wonder (wonder)
Was it hard to let this go?

What a dream team and to imagine you in the same space....no wonder a song was created! I love the subject, I collect antique poetry books and love the ones
with inscriptions and I write my own story in it so that no one has to "Wonder". The music fits, great phrasing, there's a lot in this write to sing, like the harmonies, very nice song, I hope I find myself sharing a space with one of you someday, even if it can only be for one song....Nice collab!!

So many great things in this that I'd have to write another song! Just wonderful-kudos to you both!

Pretty! What are we hearing bass wise and who played what on this? Inquiring minds want to know. It's such a soft, relaxed track. Very nice. I like the lyrics too. Things from the past connecting us and bridging the gap into the future. I like that. Wonderful idea for a song.
