Liner Notes:

This song came to me in a dream - I drifted off for 10 or so more minutes one morning last week and I dreamed the first line and the banjo lick I use before each verse. In my dream, I knew I was knocking off the riff from some well-known banjo picker - the whole song, I think, has a timeless (as in borrowed from traditional folk/bluegrass) feel.

Lyrics:

Bury me oh bury me
And eulogize me in a poem
Bury me oh bury me
Don't be so sad for I am home

Bury me oh bury me
On the bank of our lovely river
Bury me oh bury me
I'll be the breeze that makes you shiver

Bury me oh bury me
Place a stone above my head
Bury me oh bury me
But not until I'm good and dead
