Liner Notes:

All the Facebook posts. The rhetoric. The talking points. "Stop being selfish". "Ignore your heart". Pulling that lever this year for the "right choice" is going to suck but.....eh.

Here's all I'm saying. I like Kool-Aide. I really do. But if you try to force me to drink it, I'm gonna slap it out of your hands.

This election year is gonna be a sh*t show.

Lyrics:

Guess I'm the only one with open eyes
Watchin' the people of this world choose to compromise
And they think it's wise

Cooler heads please intervene
I want rational thinking before we're forced to pick a king
But you already kissed the ring

You're so proud of yourself, a true progressive
Ig-nored your conscience for the greater good
While the voices in your head scream in bloody protest
But that's none of my business

Of two evils, there is no less
It's a lose/lose situation with a shady process
But I digress

Hope and change has come and gone
There's a side who believes nothing's wrong and they belong
Just don't use my song

You're so proud of yourself, a true progressive
Ig-nored your conscience for the greater good
While the voices in your head scream in bloody protest
But that's none of my business

See you in November

This election is one for the records (and mostly for the trash bins as well). I am not happy with the choices and I have had many mean things said to me over it. Anyhow, I like this-it is very well written and made me think-as good songs do. Love the vocals too.

I really like the tempo of this one - really great lyrics as well - excellent!

Energetic, passionate, and melodic! While I disagree that both choices are equally evil (and I'm not sure you are saying that, but to the extent you are (?)) I would disagree with you, but no matter- this is a really accomplished and passionate song, great performance, and you did a great job here! Seems like alot of folks (myself included, of course) are writing political songs this time round, its in the air or something...

Excellent song and delivery. The two vocals are work really well together. The line Ig-nored your conscience for the greater good is very strong.

nice distillation of a prevailing mood. very good realization of a well-constructed initial argument, and an effective vocal section at the end, though i would have ended it with a sharply clipped "but that's none of my business." a very timely song. catchy and informative without being preachy. a fine line to walk.
