Kahlo2013:

Usually I write lyrics...but when I saw the skirmish theme about something inside of us and this just came out as a chant like melody ... Perhaps because it is Sunday. Spirituality is a big part of my life. I do believe in God in some form that dwells within and around me. I find meaning in diverse aspects of many different religions.

I am not a vocalist by any means, so sorry about the pitchiness and tone.

Klaus:

I have always loved Finnish Lutheran church music, the hymns. Also Bach's Mass, uh, the one they play every Eastern? Well anyway. Liz did the lyrics, melody and sang. I did the background music. In the instrumental intro I tried to use the beginning phrase of the melody and do a faux-contrapunctual thingy...by ear. Hard to do.

Lyrics:

Deep Inside Me

Deep deep inside me
My thoughts seek Your light
Deep deep inside me
You guide my day and night

Deep in me
Deep in me
Deep in me
You dwell deep inside me

Deep deep inside me
My soul seeks Your truth
Deep deep inside me
My praise is for You

Deep in me
Deep in me
Deep in me
You dwell deep inside me

Deep deep inside me
My heart seeks Your love
Deep deep inside me
My love grows for You

Deep in me
Deep in me
Deep in me
You dwell deep inside me

Come deep into my thoughts
Come deep into my soul
Come deep into my heart
Come deep to help me know
The wonders of Your Love

Deep in me
Deep in me
Deep in me
You dwell deep inside me

nice a cappella demo. nice that you got 3 sections together, lyrics and vocal melody, so quickly. very hymnal.

It is nice to hear your voice! This is spiritual and full of truth. Thanks for this

This is very apt as you said, and very beautifully personal Smile
The chorus is catchy, and I can hear a choir maybe singing this ? Smile

Very good, hour or not
Yeah, with Amanda on the C--sounds like a choir or congregation response

This is a nice demo, don't be so hard on yourself! Please, I meant to say. Smile Expresses a universal feeling that we share and reach out (or in) for. Very good!

This is wonderful meaningful song delivered with feeling. I love the singing!

This does have the hymn feel, though hymns don't have bridges. It's a modern, traditional hymn. Smile With the line "deep in me", it brings to mind the passage that says same spirit in within those that believe. I like that. And I just wrote a spiritual song of sorts myself. Maybe it's in the air.

I really like the structure to this one.
It lends itself easily to a multitude of melody.

When I think of hymns, I think of either Amazing Grace
or George Harrison's song "My Sweet Lord"

This one has a lot of those good elements

Russ I-m so happy

Nice hymn. Sounds like a Finnish lutheran hymn, slow and in minor key, so it's very familiar right from the start. Really nice to hear your voice. It's not as bad as you think. All you need is little practice and confidence.

Thanks for the heads up! This is so beautiful! The music with Liz's vocals is sort of hauntingly holy! Love it.

Nice arrangement with the organ behind the vocal track.

Oooh, this is different and unique. I really love it! This definitely would work for the Week 8 challenge if you wanted. Like the haunting vocal that matches the hymnal music done so eloquently. Really lovely! Kudos to both of you on a superb collab!

The little hesitation in the singing quite adds to this big and sacred sounding piece. Those lyrics are so pure, this goes perfectly well together.

Wow! The music and lyrics go so well together. A hymn any Lutheran (and non-Lutheran) would love to sing.

I heard this somewhere before (in some klausovision) so I had to listen. Did I mention how versatile you are before. Never heard this before in my 6 years of 5090ing. Liz is doing a admirable job singing this, I'm impressed! Bach would be proud.
