Looking for some sonic inspiration outside your normal? Have a neat sound file you'd love to share? You're in the right place.
Inspired by the physical penny trays that you should no longer feel comfortable using this year, I'm putting together an organized sound pool from the community.
Your challenge? Take something from the pool, use it any way you would like, and then put something new or derived back into the pool when you're done. Tag your creation with #take-penny or #take-a-penny and post it here so we can all find and enjoy your creation!
In addition, Leave a Penny Day falls on August 2 this year - expect something special.
--DETAILS--
Audio files of all kinds are welcome. I'll continually update the top of this thread with your additions - if you need hosting, feel free to email me your files and I can host them for you. You can reach me at my contact form if needed. ( http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/user/1658/contact )
Make sure to be clear with me and the community on the license that applies to your work, if any. I strongly encourage you to use CC0 ( https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/public-domain/cc0/ ) or attest that your work belongs in the public domain, but I'm not picky.

@AndyGetch much obliged, I'll put those in the pool!
Here's my track - using @spirulence's nah-nah-nah sample: *42330
And here's my penny: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9hpg0guy2d5kcqt/18%20-%20Leave%20A%20Penny%20-%20RAW%20From%20Buzz%20-%201...
Leave A Penny - 16Bit Stereo PCM WAV - 98 BPM. This is a sample of a Buzz Machine that some FAWMers in the past were quite impressed with. It's FireSledge's Rectal Anarchy, a synth that creates its sound based on vowels (a, e, i, o, u). It's a fun machine I've used in a few songs over the years. Thought it would be a good one to share.
This was fun! Thanks for the challenge

Used your ambulance recording, @AndyGetch for this one http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/song/42476
And my penny to contribute back is another bassline and drum track.
116 BPM, CC0

So, it's time for me to reveal an extra personal layer to this challenge.
Leave a Penny Day is on Sunday - as a thank you to everyone who participated so far, I'm going to make a track that uses something from each penny submitted, including any submitted tomorrow. The sooner you get it in, the better chance you have of me doing something interesting with it!

was one I just thought I tried to record a few weeks ago, found out I actually did
@spirulence, I can't wait to hear that!
