THEME/PROMPT: "MOON OVER ______" Your city, state, planet - or if you "Moon Over" a person!

WHAT: We'll have a 1 hour song skirmish, and it will go something like this:
1) At the start of the event, I'll announce a title/prompt/theme/concept/ for your inspiration.
2) All participants write, record, and post a song within an hour. Lyrics-only posts – and instrumentals - are absolutely fine. And if you take longer than an hour, PLEASE post anyway.
3) Be sure and tag your song, and also post a link to it in this thread.
4) If you participate, please listen to (or read) and comment on the songs of all the other skirmish participants. Share the 50-90 love, folks. Wink
Fun and embarrassment may ensue, but, most importantly, everyone will have one more song, lyric, or instrumental under their belt!

Happy Writing!

I'm in Smile

I really want to do this one, but I'm going to be away from home from 3-4 pm. So I'm not going to look at the title, and then when I get home and after everyone else is in bed (so like 9 pm) I'm going to check the title/prompt, go out on the porch, and write a skirmish song!

Going to give it a whirl. Haven't skirmished since last 50.90 I think.

Theme/Prompt "Moon Over_" Your city, state, planet or if you "moon over" a person etc.!

Gonna give this a go.

In with a late start (if I'm reading the conversion right lol)

Music collaboration desired!

My next song will be happy. Pinky swear.
Started nearly at the end but got done in around 30 minutes or so.

i did this with a friend on the phone and went over but very much a skirmish for me between reeling her in!

Just woke up will try and do a lyric.

Hello, I was away so started at 9:10, 1 hour and 10 minutes later. I'm just uploading it. Wil post shortly.

Here is my take. Thank you Corinne for your inspiring theme.

here's my raw attempt in 1hr 17min...oh well!

Here's my take - I know it's late but the Cricket world cup final and then the Wimbledon final - something had to give.
Off to listen to /read the other entries...

I started this a couple hours at least after Corinne's Sunday evening (8pm GMT) skirmish was meant to start - apologies but I was planting out beetroot in the tunnel, and watering everything, feeding cats and chickens and so on...
Anyways, took me just under the hour, about 50 mins I think.

And now for something completely different to my first response to this prompt

Versatile is good, right?

was out yesterday, late last night i saw this challenge, and ended up staying up and writing a lyric... sometime in the next few days I'm gonna try to set it (probably will more of a free-form spoken word with music piece, i think)... stay tuned! Smile (not exactly a 'regular' skirmish the way I'm doing it, but hey, the muse seems to want to do it this way for this one...I'll post when its all done music/lyric/performance)

Ok 22 hours late but here we go

I'll go back and listen to all y'all's now Biggrin

Since other folks also jumped in later than the actual skirmish time (and of course there's absolutely nothing wrong with that), I'll go ahead and post mine, too. I didn't see the prompt until 6 hours later, and I tried to do something with it but I was just too tired. The following morning, circumstances collided so that I was able to do a ukulele blues about the moon in Spanish.
Now, I'll listen to what you all did!

EDIT. I was not at all satisfied with the track I made within the skirmish time frame. I have worked on it some more. All the elements of the original track remain in some form. New elements have been added along with more production work.

Super late to this, but I was at work all day Sunday. Loved the prompt, so I challenged myself to write it today.

I was running out of lyrical juice. I used the prompt to write a sort of PSA? travel destination jingle? wha? huh?
