Apologies if someone has started this thread already, I couldn't find it!
Anyway, if it hasn't been started already, let me be the first to say that everyone should listen to THIS:

I would like to offer a comment about the diversification of where the recommendations are being posted. While I wholeheartedly support you guys feedng it out to your other followers as well, it would sure be nice for myself as a member of this community to be able to come to this one source to link directly to your recommendations without the need to sort through other sorts of posts on twitter or tumblr. I always look to this thread for brilliance I may have missed, and hope it remains a handy resource and stockpile of hearty kudos offered up in the presence of this community in particular.
ETA: Sorry if that came out fussy; just feeling stretched by the ever-expanding digital universe!!
I'm sure plenty of people will post direct links to songs here; however, I'll stick with my tumblr route.
Gonzo Sombrero - this cat is tight. Check 'im out. http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6773
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6916
Wonderful blues singing, and a rebuke to those of us who treat a ukulele as a toy [guilty as charged]
This one is really neat: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6653
I'm going to offer up this one because it's just terrible. Just so so terrible.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6867
It's a fantastically satirical and meta song.
angst, despair, faint hope. Powerful.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7203
This is a delightful acoustic gem from Deaf Steever: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6855
This is my favorite so far, awesome song!
I encourage you all to go take a listen to my good friend UnofficialSoundtrack. He just posted his solo debut today and it's fantastic. http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/users/unofficialsoundtrack
Also, Ankari's first tune of the season is breathtaking (and has an awesome video to boot!): http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6704
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7489
"Misery Guts (Despair of the Endless)" by Rubicava.
I can't believe i was the first commenter of this excellent rock song.
Anything by wolfkier.
And seeing as he's already finished his 50, I guess there's plenty to choose from...
OOH
this instrumental is amazing
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7784
Levinet? don't know what he is playing on ..but its lovely, feel like I'm in an MGM musical.
Have to second the wolfkier nomination for pure inventiveness, atmosphere and sheer ability. pick a song and be prepared to be challenged!
Trundlehorse, by Expendable Friend:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7390
plus any of the other songs by this talented artist.
+1 to the Expendable Friend reference.
I enjoyed this one.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/8081 - "Nobody's Watching" - Jude's Labour
A very short piece by PIXO that I like:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7701
My favorites so far. Most of these I desire to cover myself.
1. Trundlehorse, by Expendable Friend:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7390
- as Paul Milne, and I might have been led there by this thread. I keep hearing this tune inside my head.
2. By the Field the Poppies Grow, Paul Milne
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6733
3. What If This Is Only The Beginning? by carleybaer
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6916
- as Tim Fatchen, but I discovered this myself.
4. Valse Parisienne, Winner levesinet
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7122
- levesinet is a winner (>50), apparently a lot of "easy listening" corny stuff. I think this is the first tune I came across.
5. Lightning Rod, Robyn Mackenzie & UnofficialSoundtrack (also covered by auditasum)
(WHAT? You can do covers??)
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7436
I am also listening to
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/users/kerriari. Lovely songs about lovely dogs, and more.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/users/paulotteson. That voice is outworldly (in a good way).
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/users/deaf-steever could be my long lost guitar brother in spirit.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/users/madthesinger is very young, "playing guitar for about 4 months now", extremely unconventional.
I could really have recommended scores of songs by now, i have heard a ton of good ones. I really like that people seem to be putting a bit more craft into their songs this time, instead of wildly sprinting for the finish line.
Got to agree with the people who said keep an eye on Expendable Friend, but there are a huge number of others who are consistently good, and many more besides who turn out total gems on a fairly frequent basis.
Here's one that, for some reason, particularly tickled my fancy today:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7186
It's by Jonnie Grunge and Fender Tele.
And thanks RosiePosy for recommending a song of mine in this thread, i must admit it does still make me happy when someone thinks a song of mine's good enough for the Recommended Tracks thread!
My fave from 50/90 thus far: "Coming Home" by helenaustin
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/8062
Just a beautiful little song.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7418
When Love is Worth Fighting For - Valerie Cox and Kimberlyinnc
Auditasum - Lie In Wait (Helen's Evil Twin remix)
It's very good (imo)
I think my favorite track so far has been Deaf Steever's You Occupy My Mind.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7451
Great track.
Thank you Orinoco. Glad you liked it enough to recommend it.
Hey check out my friend's tracks.. I love "one for the money"
we did a challenge and this came out, it rocks! ps she is new and I'm trying to get her hooked on 5090!
One I go back to time after time and it always raises the corners of my mouth.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7699
I like to sing it when I'm in my cups.
"yella, yella, yella, yella motor...."
auditasm - You and Me and Chaperone - http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9018
I thought this was excellent. and really relevant to us as songwriters too.
Check out Johnny Credit's http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9044 Simple but almost perfect.
Oh man, I just heard "Cavia Cobaya" by Blue Haint for the first time, and it's a must listen for anyone who likes NIMH, Pink Floyd, The Flaming Lips, and Clockwork Orange all rolled up with some great guitar riffs and vocal harmonies!
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7567
I nominate this one from angelinapowersuit - it brought tears to my eyes:
I think JonnieGrunge's opening track of the year, Where We Begin, is really great. Not just because he's my band mate, but because it's just a phenomenal track.
Poison Well by J12.
Mighty fine.
This clever and fun song by tinam is like a Shel Silverstein look at some optically challenged performers: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9091
Something keeps drawing me back to the "Thunderstorm Blues" by Talking Dogs
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6705
i realise my last recommendation was Whispered Candles as well, but that's because her songs are awesome!
If the poison don't get you then God will.......
I highly recommend this one from Steffan - it'll cure what ails ya':
tinam's and gerrybhoy's work here needs to be more widely heard. Here they are together: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9261
Anything by Talking Dogs is always pure audio candy.
Seconded: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/users/talking-dogs
Had my laptop plugged into my P.A. while I was checking out the latest songs and this leapt out of the speakers. It ROCKS!!
From Valerie
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9780
This is genius - from Johnny Credit
I guess this still is my favorite song: Little Hideaway by rosieposy8. What a wonderful pianist singer! Groovy too.
This is a folk/love song by Standup, and it might not be in the jukebox; it's got some great singing and guitar picking:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9826
Here's a real talent. RV Mendoza - voice and piano and so good. http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/10083
Testthebest, Someone's Gonna Break Your Heart, a killer pop tune:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9132
