As always, really interested to hear your favorite albums from the recent months.

My absolute favorite from this year is Dizzy Mizz Lizzy's Forward In Reverse. So damn cool you won't believe it. Biggrin

2015 and 2016?? I'm still catching up on all the great music from the 20s and 30s!

I think there was a 2015 list at FAWM, so most of these will probably have already been mentioned:

The Arcs - Yours, Dreamily
Blur - The Magic Whip
Django Django - Born Under Saturn
FFS - FFS
Ezra Furman - Perpetual Motion People
Grimes - Art Angels
Holly Herndon - Holly Herndon
Lonelady - Hinterland
Public Service Broadcasting - The Race for Space

So far this year, nothing that's really grabbed me completely, but these aren't bad:

Belbury Poly - New Ways Out
Digitalism - Mirage
The Last Shadow Puppets - Everything You've Come to Expect
Laura J Martin - On the Never Never
Suede - Night Thoughts
Teleman - Brilliant Sanity

Oh, and though the album isn't that great, this track from Lake Street Dive is so, so catchy ...

With so many reissues on CD and even back to Vinyl... I am loosing self control Smile buying ALL the CD's of Albums of my "youth", not that I am old... --it's scary when I count the CD's and multiply by $5, or $10... hum much "money" is just thrown around, cars, shelves, under seats, properly racked, falling out of boxes... duplicats!? OMG! ... Smile

Recently discovered Otter Creek. Their new album "The Fiddle Preacher" is so good. I went to a live show of theirs a week and a half ago. Peter and Mary Otterstrom Danzig are fantastic musicians and their whole family have gorgeous voices. If you love folk music, try out this album. They play several traditional tunes, but Peter is a fantastic singer/songwriter.
