There is a chance I will be going to Bahrain for a week early next month (shortly after getting home from Nashville) I did some checking on the flights and it looks like there is a 5 hours lay-over in Amsterdam. Strongly thinking of trying to turn that into a day or two if there is someone near who could offer a couch for a poor wayward traveler.

I know nothing about that part of the world so don't even know if anyone is close (or even what is considered close) so thought I'd throw it out and see what happens.

I do snore pretty bad so keep that in mind before responding lol.

Feel free to post on my board, or send an email to seabilly //AT// gmail //Dot// com

I know there are at least three fawm(5090)ers within public transport distance of that, Billy, so i hope you get some answers, and it's a pity (for me) that you're not stopping over in Edinburgh! Smile

If it's at a weekend and flights aren't extortionate, I'd definitely consider flying over to meet you, Billy.

and me.

Sorry but this isn't going to work out after all. As I was trying to book my flight, staying a day or two extra in Amsterdam priced out at around $500 more. Certainly the possibility of meeting Helen and Johnny and others would totally be worth it, but I just don't have that kind of extra money right now.

I'm not giving up one getting over to that side of the world for a few days, but it just isn't in the cards right now.

Ah, Billy, that's a shame. But here's an idea: once you have your travel booked then let me know when your stopover in Amsterdam is. If it's at the right time of day I can swing by the airport (only 20mins from home for me) and buy you a beer. Yes?

how many songs can you write in five hours?

@third time lucy - depends on how many drinks we have Smile

@sapient - schedule is 5 Nov 0600-1400 and 11 Nov from 0600-1100

Can't wait.
