If you're a new user of Ableton Live - from the "Lite" demo version to the full Suite - you may be interested in a new set of "how to" videos from Ableton themselves which cover the basics. There are *fifty nine* of them. I wish I'd had these videos when I started, back in the day!

I was just checking for a good reason to upgrade from version 9 to version 10 and I don't see anything worth the upgrade. That said, I have been an Ableton Live user for over 10 years and they have always been excellent. If I was active (I'm not) I would likely choose Ableton for my recording sessions. I prefer to mix in StudioOne though and sometimes I bypass Ableton. To be honest it simply comes down to which one I click first. If I click Ableton I will be using both software. Not saying you can't mix and master in Ableton, you can. However, my friends, I just don't feel the music anymore and prefer to just make comments on topics such as this one. The recording and songwriting topics are still interesting to me but I just don't feel like getting into it this year.
