This thread does what it says on the box.
We begin with the second Psy-Wordsmith collaboration this year, 'Here's to your stillness': http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6870
There's a Roel Van Veldt version to go up, too, as soon as he sees my soundboard message :)
added string arrangements to orinoco's lovely track
The demo is up for "Rag And Bone Man".
Uploaded a demo of Autumn Leaves - http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6890
themiller did a song, and i have just uploaded my freshly written music for it, my first of 5090 2011:

Independence Day by The Miller + Calum Carlyle
Heyyyy,
So, I'm super new to this thing, but my friend Ben Levinson convinced me to try it out.
I just finished a tune, if you guys wanna check it out: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7142
Thanks guys.
Chris Adams (cadams35) posted a set of lyrics, "I won't complain", a few days back, and I finally finished the demo for him this evening:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6968
Enjoy!
Oh shoot! I finished another song...
Too bad it sounds frighteningly like my last one haha
Richard (rittmo') added his lyrics and voice to my piano piece 'It's So Unfair':

Here's an update
grygrx slashes out a brilliant punk demo for Lifestyle Rant:
Added a new/alternate mixdown for "Rock This Shit".

Let me know which you like better, if you have time.
Music is now up for Academic Polemic. http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7347
Finally got a demo up for "Webs" http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7100
It's been sitting in my computer for days waiting for vocals.
Due to pressure from the above and others, I recorded vocals this morning for the Songskirmish #3 Massacre for Wellington, what an appalling title to be hit with at one's first skirmish.
Plainwhitetoast musicked up 'Apples' with guitar and tragedy.
I posted my first song called 'Fires and Faucets' ... and then did a quick rewrite after considering comments from themiller and posted a new one-take demo. http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7479
My song 'Hourglass' now has a demo, its just a single take, but you should get the idea.
I've added some guitar to musicsongwriter's lovely "Feeling Sad Today".
Thank you Paul, it sounds beautiful!
3/50! That's halfway right?!
I just uploaded a couple demos today, but this one is my favorite so far. It's a rough and slightly crappy demo but I kinda like the song! http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7200
rittmo has added some wonderful words to Nadia's "Feeling Sad Today" and turned it into a lullaby.
'You Gotta Wonder' now has a demo.
Be warned, this is what happens when somebody who doesn't really understand the state of the British media attempts to write a song.
Here's a couple demos I uploaded last night for songs I posted a while ago.
"Play Me a Country Song" - http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7086
"Rain Tonight, Mud Tomorrow" - http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7823
I added vocals and took out the lead instruments for "the Girl with Yellow Boots"
I kind of like each version. I will likely go back and add a more coherent lead instrument to fill some gaps and add flavor and texture to the vocal version.
new vocal version: http://files.fawmers.com/plainwhitetoast/plainwhitetoast-5090%202011-gir...
original instrumental version: http://files.fawmers.com/plainwhitetoast/plainwhitetoast-5090%202011-gir...

i've uploaded my fifth demo today, it's probably the best thing i've recorded in ages, if anyone wants to hear a melancholic ukelele slow burner by a smitten indie guy, god, this is the song for you
OK so here it is after much sweat and effort - mainly becuase I haven't played the piano in a very long time.
As a result the vocal is pretty much a once through, but given that this really needs to be played on a proper grand piano to make the harmonies work, I'm not going to spend forever on it.
an example of the octatonic scale in action:
And if you like trolling in the forums, this one is entirely stolen from a thread...
Another simple song about simple things...
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/8041
I may just reach 25 songs after all!
I know this is one of mine.. but Kritian is a magician and has made it sound super cool.. cheesy Robyn like pop!
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7803
would be interested to hear what people think!
Roel snuck in like an inverse thief in the night and posted a gorgeous demo. Had I not been obsessively checking for comments, I'd have missed it. Cunning, cunning...
TomS and I have created a Lava Lamp:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7483
Well just cos Calum wanted everyobody to join in at the end, here it is again...
Richard created his beautiful lyric and demo to my keyboard piece form train challenge:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7779
Roel created his beautiful demo to my lyric:
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6922
Me and Nick trading solos...
A co-write with the inimitable Stephen Wordsmith:
Now with demo - this should cheer you up
I've done music for John Crossman's excellent lyrics.
"Sorry I Missed Your Party (Want and Waste)"
Gerrybhoy's lovely demo is now up for the Celtic folk ballad
"Lost to the Rain"
Finally got a demo up for my first 5090 song
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7559
I appear to have begun rather melancholy.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/8717
Well this seems to have turned into a bit of a "hello, listen to my song" thread, in part anyway, so i don't feel too guilty about this post.
I uploaded my original acoustic sketch recording of Waving Goodbye, For The Last Time on the song page, so in addition to my scratchy distorted demo, you can hear a cack-handed runthrough by me before i knew what i was doing with the tune.
Yay! I should have become a salesman...
PS - Nancy, i genuinely thought for a second that you said Stephen Wordsmith was inflatable.
Well this seems to have turned into a bit of a "hello, listen to my song" thread, in part anyway, so i don't feel too guilty about this post.
It's only because I couldn't find the "Shameless self promotion thread"
start one!
... that's every thread in my world
Smokin' blues demo from T.C. Elliott is now up for
"Like A River".
I've just uploaded a tune to go with @themiller's lyrics for "Demon".
... inflatable Stephen Wordsmith? THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE. SOMEHOW. I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT IT NEEDS TO BE DONE. ohmygod.
also, a crazy snippet before sleep, appropriately entitled 'For the Love of Bed': http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9092
Amy Winehouse song now with a demo from the wonderful Sapient

My first song this year, the way-too-catchy a cappella song "Suburban Sunrise", now has a demo -
