THEME/PROMPT: "BEACH" - Anything thing evocative of the beach: sand, surf, ocean, waves, etc
EDIT - SURPRISE - YOU HAVE 2 HOURS TO COMPLETE!

TAGS: s070520, skirmish, songskirmish, feast,

WHAT: We'll have a 2 hour song skirmish, and it will go something like this:

1) At the start of the event, I'll announce a title/prompt/theme/concept/ for your inspiration.

2) All participants write, record, and post a song within an hour. Lyrics-only posts and instrumentals are absolutely fine. And if you take longer than an hour, PLEASE post anyway.

3) Be sure and tag your song using the above tags, and also post a link to it in this thread down below.

4) If you participate, please listen to (or read) and comment on the songs of all the other skirmish participants and share the FAWM love.

Most Important: HAVE FUN!

i have a feeling (and it is confusing on the timezone thing that i looked at because it "corrected" EST to EDT saying it isn't used mostly at the moment) but I think the time for UK is 8pm BST not 8pm GMT (which would be 9pm) any way i hope to join in Smile
EDIT - the EST - EDT seems right cos the S in BST is Summer and the S in EST is Standard so even that convention is the opposite way round.

Hopefully will be able to join.

Thanks - I never know what's the correct designation!

Not long now... :o ;O
edit: the forum time is odd, it says its 13:44, but its 5 minutes to 8pm here??

heh, just posted one this morning about such things........will try for another Smile or expound on that, it's really just a future verse or chorus anyway Smile

Hi @corinne54! I am in the middle of launching my partner on a kayak trip down the Chattahoochee (yay! for the alone time, but not so good on the timing), so it looks like I can’t make it for a “live” skirmish today. Maybe a late entry? Have a blast everyone!

Here is my lyric. Thanks for the prompt.
It is about my favorite beaches.

True and timely! I'm a Florida guy, and I did actually go to the beach a couple weeks ago for the first time since January, and I'm going again this week. But I know where to go to avoid crowds.

Will listen and comment to others later http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/song/41521

Here's mine - will listen/comment this evening: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/song/41522

Just finished uploading now. I’ll listen to everyone’s as soon as I’ve got suitable snacks and beverages!

Thank you Corinne for the brilliant theme and for the extra time. I still didn't get on time though as I was asked for one thing after another lol but here it is. Better late than never, right? If anyone hears the words/vocals please let me know. I'm very happy to collaborate. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas with me.

Here's mine! I'll comment on some of these after I get something to eat, and then I'll likely get to the rest tomorrow.
