Demo:
So inspired by my dear freind Ferry Colyer's Rocktober treatment of Sayyid no. 10 by Thomas de Hartmann (check it out... http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/content/sayyid-no-10 ) I went looking for something slow, sparse, and moody to finish out this year's Rocktober...
I hope you enjoy. All feedback welcome.
Thanks to all participating for making Rocktober such a happy month of sharing! Enjoyed my second year even more than my first. Happy Halloween. God bless and keep you all through the winter and see you for FAWM 2021!!!

Lyrics:
Shadows in the Rain - The Police Copyright Sting 1980
Woke up in my clothes again this morning
Don't know exactly where I am
And I should heed my doctor's warning
He does the best with me he can
He claims I suffer from delusions
Yet I'm so confident I'm sane
It can't be no optical illusion
So how can you explain,
Shadows in the rain?
And if you see us on the corner
We're just dancing in the rain
I join my friends there when I see them
Outside my window pane
Shadows in the rain
Woke up in my clothes again this morning
Don't know exactly where I am
And I should heed my doctor's warning
He does the best with me he can
Shadows in the rain...
He claims I suffer from delusions
Yet I'm so confident I'm sane
It can't be no optical illusion
So how can you explain
Shadows in the rain?

Really wonderful cover. I enjoyed this a lot!
Oh this was really excellent! I've never been a huge fan of The Police the band or otherwise
but might of felt differently if they'd of sounded more like this
Their moodiness always felt pretentious to me, but just my opinion I know they're beloved. Really great rendition here though
This mix is just so fresh and such a pleasure to listen to. Feels like my brains getting washed.
Your voice sounds amazing. Great cover.
What a great vibe--I'm all about sparse and moody. East to get lost in this soundscape. Great vocals and guitar, with excellent production!
There's something ungraspable about this song making me like this vibe a lot. Went from your version to Sting's back to yours. The reality of things. To each his or her own! You have another sort of funk going on and I love your hihats interpretation and the guitar solo. The rain sound (like at the start) is very fitting, adding to the mysteriousness of the song. So much to like and be intrigued by (also that guitar note at 2:40-2:41)!
