Demo:
So much fun to play this classic.. with a twist in the middle...
Lyrics:
Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode
Who never ever learned to read or write so well
But he could play a guitar just like a-ringin' a bell
Go go
Go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go
Johnny B. Goode
He used to carry his guitar in a gunny sack
Go sit beneath the tree by the railroad track
Oh, the engineers would see him sitting in the shade
Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made
The people passing by they would stop and say
"Oh my what that little country boy could play"
Go go
Go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go
Johnny B. Goode
His mother told him "someday you will be a man
And you will be the leader of a big old band
Many people coming from miles around
To hear you play your music when the sun go down
Maybe someday your name will be in lights
Saying "Johnny B. Goode tonight"
Go go
Go Johnny go
Go go go Johnny go
Go go go Johnny go
Go go go Johnny go
Go
Johnny B. Goode

Nice one, all Chuck music but a metal growl and then that real different middle. Very good, certainly put your stamp on it!
rowdy black metal romp through the birth pangs of rock and roll
Nice crunch... well done. That's a great version. Add one more Ramone, octavia w/even more overdrive... and they'd come back to hear it themselves.
I wonder what Chuck would think of this.
I think he might like it very much.
Really excellent guitar work here.
Hahaha that middle section is aces for sure!
Great work!!
(I just played this for Mrs. Fuzzy; she said "I love it! It's priceless!!")
You mean the voice changing to a more midrange register? Big fun and really good guitar solo
Good growling on berry. I was wondering isn't all that trash and heavy based on acoustic guys in whatever is south that were out of distortion
Great cover of a classic. The middle 8 took me by surprise. Great guitar work.
Oh wow didn't expect this but it rocks! Nice breakdown part, this is so fun. Great growl also, always nice when you can still understand the words. This is how you make a cover your own!
I just thoroughly all around enjoyed this!!!! Great take on that rock and roll great!
My god, man. I may have to sacrifice an old pair of speakers for this.
Whoa, what an awesome take on this old classic! First, I am blown away by your guitar skills playing so sweet like an advanced version of the original! But then adding that signature Sapient black metal puts this in a whole new league! Excellent work!
This is insanely good. Great job reimagining this classic in your own style. Love it!
Oh yeah!! Had me from the first note - really cool instrumentation with a growling twist.
Holy moly, this is badass. Excellent vocals and guitar work. Pays homage to the original, but adds a lot of fun twists.
This is all I hoped it would be. Especially enjoyed the guitar solo. Just straight to 11.
This is such a great update, very much in the spirit of it. Great fun and energy!
Outstanding and unmistakable guitar work. The metal Gods are smiling tonight! Johnnie lives!
The metal growl in itself brings a different feel to the original... and then... *boom* goes the metal dynamite in the bridge-- impressive and nothing less than you'd expect from a Sapient cover.
